sbh Page & Read were instructed to offer the freehold interest in the existing site, subject to a lease back to Ovenden Papers for a short term lease, pending their relocation.
A marketing campaign was implemented and a purchaser identified. Negotiations were concluded for a sale of the site with Ovenden entering into a short term flexible lease. With the disposal completed, sbh Page & Read was instructed to identify suitable alternative premises.
A full search was undertaken and several freehold and leasehold opportunities were pursued.
A search eventually focussed on a building in River Way Harlow of circa 98,000 sq ft where sbh Page & Read negotiated leasehold terms, subject to the incumbent tenant undertaking a comprehensive refurbishment.
Ovenden Papers have now relocated from their existing site to the new facility in Harlow, where the business has continued to flourish and grow.
